Resource Provision for Organizing the Educational Process for Educational Programs at the Artificial Intelligence Department

The Artificial Intelligence Department offers training for students in the following educational programs (EP) within the specialty F3:

  • First (Bachelor’s) level of higher education:
“Computer Science and Information Technology,” specialization “Artificial Intelligence” (AI)

  • Second (Master’s) level of higher education:
    “Artificial Intelligence Systems” (AIS)

  • Third (Educational-Scientific) level of higher education:
Doctor of Philosophy in “Artificial Intelligence Systems and Tools”

Educational Classrooms

For training students under the EP, the department uses general university classrooms, classrooms of general educational departments, and classrooms located in the spaces where the department is situated.

The department has the following classrooms available for teaching:

  • Classrooms 257, 258 – for lectures
  • Classrooms 327, 415i, 255 – for practical classes
  • Classroom 255 – for independent work by students

All department classrooms have passports, which are approved annually.

Information Support

To provide students with information resources, the department has a complete set of methodical materials in electronic form, stored in the department and available to each student.

  • Access to the university’s internal information network to use educational-methodical complexes (EMC) located in the scientific library.
  • The Kharkiv National University of Radioelectronics (KhNURE) scientific library provides access to online databases, which can be used by any student or university staff member.

Classroom Equipment

The department’s educational classrooms are equipped with all the necessary modern equipment, including multimedia tools, for the implementation of educational programs.

Department’s Computer Park

The department’s computer park consists of 26 units. All computers are in modern condition and were purchased no more than 8 years ago. Licensed software and modern network infrastructure at KhNURE provide access to the Internet. The quantity of equipment and software is sufficient to conduct the full cycle of training for students under the EP.

Use of Additional Resources

If necessary, the department uses computer labs from the university’s Information and Computing Center with the required software or lecture halls, laboratories, and computer classrooms from the “Synergy” Scientific Park. The department also submits requests to purchase necessary equipment, software, and materials to further support the educational process.

Qualification of Faculty

The quality preparation of students under all EPs is carried out by the department’s faculty, which includes:

  • 5 Doctors of Science, 6 Professors
  • 9 Candidates of Science, 6 Associate Professors
  • 3 Senior Lecturers, 2 Assistants

Professional Development

Department staff improve their qualifications by participating in internships and joint European projects, effectively collaborating with leading global scientists in key areas of artificial intelligence. The department’s researchers confirm their results with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and proceedings of international conferences. They also teach at universities in Finland, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, applying the results obtained in preparing qualified bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral candidates.
