On June 16, 2026, an interdepartmental meeting was held online, focusing on modern digital solutions in the field of cardiological screening, remote monitoring of the cardiovascular system, and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in medicine.
The event was organized by the Artificial Intelligence Department and the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic.”
During the meeting, representatives of the Canadian medical technology company Sparrow Acoustics presented an innovative device—the “Stetophone” digital stethoscope—as well as a mobile medical app for cardiac analysis that utilizes artificial intelligence technologies. Participants learned about the possibilities of conducting cardiac screening using a smartphone, approaches to collecting and processing biomedical data, and the prospects for applying AI solutions to support medical decision-making.
The speakers at the event were representatives of the company and the project in Ukraine:
Ivanna Kuzyk — medical data manager, cardiologist;
Olena Chernenko — project development advisor in Ukraine.
During the discussion, particular attention was paid to the role of artificial intelligence in the analysis of medical data, the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, the development of remote monitoring tools, and the implementation of intelligent technologies in modern medical practice.
The participants also discussed opportunities for further collaboration in the fields of digital medicine, biomedical signal analysis, the development of AI-driven solutions, and the involvement of students and researchers in interdisciplinary projects at the intersection of artificial intelligence, engineering, and healthcare.
Such events contribute to the development of inter-university cooperation and the integration of modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence methods into medicine, and are aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 3 “Good Health and Well-being,” Goal 4 “Quality Education,” and Goal 17 “Partnerships for the Goals.”
