Faculty members from the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE) joined Global Tech Kharkiv 2026 and the Digital Booster program

On August 19, 2026, the large-scale technology forum Global Tech Kharkiv 2026 and the parallel program Digital Booster Forum took place in Kharkiv, bringing together representatives of the public sector, business, the IT industry, academia, and international partners. The event was organized with support from the European Union, EDIH Eastern Ukraine, and the Kharkiv IT Cluster.
Staff members of the Artificial Intelligence Department at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics took part in the forum, joining a professional discussion of pressing issues in the development of Kharkiv’s and Ukraine’s technology ecosystem.
The event’s central themes included digitalization, artificial intelligence, the development of technology entrepreneurship, attracting investment, energy independence, Defense Tech, and building human capital for digital transformation. Special attention was given to cooperation between higher education institutions and the IT industry, and to creating conditions for the development of innovative technological solutions.
For representatives of the AI department, participating in such an event was an opportunity to exchange experience with representatives of the technology business and academic community, learn about the industry’s current needs, and outline promising areas for further cooperation.
It is especially important that modern artificial intelligence technologies are playing an increasingly significant role in the development of the digital economy, automation, data analysis, cybersecurity, defense technologies, and Ukraine’s recovery. That is precisely why the university’s interaction with the technology sector is a vital part of training specialists capable of creating and implementing innovative solutions.
The Artificial Intelligence Department at NURE continues to actively engage in professional and scientific dialogue, supporting cooperation between education, science, and business, and contributing to the development of Kharkiv’s and Ukraine’s technology ecosystem.
