The Artificial Intelligence Department is a partner in the funded project DIRECT: Distributed Intelligence for REsilient Collaborative roboTics in Extreme Environments.
The project is coordinated by the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.

This achievement is of particular significance, as it is already the third project of the AI Department implemented in collaboration with the University of Warwick under the Horizon Europe programme. It demonstrates a stable, long-term partnership and international recognition of the department’s scientific potential.

The DIRECT project focuses on the development of distributed intelligence to create resilient collaborative robotics capable of operating in extreme environments. The research has strong applied potential in areas such as disaster response, warfare, deep-sea exploration, and space research.

Despite the challenges of the full-scale war, our scientists continue to be an integral part of the global research community. This project is further proof that international scientific cooperation remains a bridge to progress and innovation, even in the most difficult times.
