Congratulations to Nataliya Ryabova, professor of the Artificial Intelligence Department, who received a Certificate of honour from the Executive Committee of the Kharkiv City Council “for many years of conscientious and fruitful work, high professionalism, significant contribution to the development of education and science in Kharkiv and on the occasion of Science Day.”
We wish Nataliya Volodymirivna good health and further creative success!
The academic year 2020/2021 is drawing to an end. Everyone already feels confident in online learning, including master students. The master students of the Artificial Intelligence Department, who studied under the educational and scientific program “Systems of Artificial Intelligence” (speciality 122 – Computer Science), defence their theses on May 18-20.
All graduates showed a high level of responsibility and self-discipline, withstood all the requirements of preliminary preparation of works for defence: they passed norm control, check for plagiarism, peer-review on time, passed stitched qualifying master’s theses (hardcopy) to the department.
Traditionally, a significant part of the works was devoted to research in computational intelligence, namely, various architectures of deep neural networks and their applications for solving multiple applied problems of computer vision, image recognition, and natural language processing. The subjects of the master’s works also include methods and models of multi-agent systems development, distributed databases, and recommender systems.
As usual, our graduate students tackle challenging but enjoyable, complex tasks, solve them successfully and prove their high professional level.
The masters’ defences were again pleased with the high level of the presented works and excellent results. We wish our graduates new interesting creative tasks, health and success!
On April 22-23, teachers and students of the Artificial Intelligence Department, as well as a number of other departments of NURE, participate in the V International Conference Computational Linguistics and Intelligent Systems, CoLIns-2021. In the pandemic mode, the conference was held online using the ZOOM platform.
We would like to thank the Organizing Committee and especially the Department of Intelligent Computer Systems of NTU “KhPI” headed by prof. Natalia Valeriyvna Sharonova, who took the brunt of the blow and perfectly organized the meetings of two plenary and seven section sessions.
A special bonus of this conference is the speeches of all participants posted on the YouTube channel.
On April 20-21, 2021, the Artificial Intelligence Department held online meetings of the section “Modern Problems of Computational and Artificial Intelligence”.The section is an integral part of the conference “Intelligent Information Systems” and the XXV Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI century.” Traditionally, most of the presented works were devoted to the study and application of machine and deep learning methods for solving applied problems. The tradition of attracting the best students of the AI department, studying in the junior courses, to participate in our Forum continues. This time we listened to the report devoted to relational databases represented by the second-year student. We thank all the participants and wish them new creative success and health!
Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics invites students, graduate students and young scientists to take part in the 25th International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the XXI Century”, which will be held on April 20 – 22, 2021. The Artificial Intelligence Department traditionally holds the meetings of Session 1 “Modern problems of computational and artificial intelligence ” within the framework of Conference 6 ” Information intelligent systems”.

AI Department students continue to delight with their successes in all areas. Today we publish a link to an interview with one of our best students, Oleksii Shatalov, gr. ITAI-17-1, conducted by the Television Center and Student’s Television NURE TV under the heading # SHALENIY KHNURESHNIK and published on YouTube. Oleksii tells why he chose NURE and Artificial Intelligence, shares impressions of his studies, participation in international student programs, projects already made and future perspectives for his profession.
Take a look and see for yourself: our students are the best!
Congratulations from AI Department with all achievements, we are proud of Oleksii and wish him health, further success and good luck in everything!
Our students not only successfully study but also reach new heights in sports. Victoria Akhremenko is a student of the ITAI-17-1 group, an excellent student, is professionally engaged in dancing, sports and, in general, she is just a beauty! Congratulations on the new achievements of our student from the Artificial Intelligence Department!
According to the results of the Kharkiv Region Championship in classical powerlifting, the athletes of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics Victoria Akhremenko and Vladislav Ivanov won gold medals, Maria Mazel and, in the absolute weight category, Victoria Akhremenko – silver medals. Igor Lukienko received a bronze medal.
Health, happiness, further success to all team members and the coach!
Matviy Aslandukov (Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics), a student of Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, won the annual LNU Open Individual Programming Championship. The Olympiad took place on February 27 on the basis of Lviv National University named after I. Franko.
NURE purchased powerful computer equipment financed by the EU grant program Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE within the project “Academic response to hybrid threats” (610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) where our University fulfills the role of the national coordinator. Both Departments (Artificial Intelligence and Economic Cybernetics and Management of Economic Security) implementing the project started establishing the interfaculty Hub with equipping their laboratories accordingly to the project objectives namely, to maintain the corresponding Master’s programs and research on hybrid threats in the fields of artificial intelligence and economic security.
Special thanks to the NEO in Ukraine and its General manager Svitlana Shytikova for assistance in adjusting all grant requirements to the Ukrainian legislation for purchasing equipment.
