The second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ JoinMe Project was held on the 6 th -7 th July 2022 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Partners gathered to discuss management issues in person, check the status of the project performance
and to share first projects results. A.o., the partners presented analytical reports comprising the findings
of the desk research done in the previous months. The aim of the research was to identify national
practices in Industry 4.0/5.0 and to describe the Industry 4.0/5.0 landscape of the countries represented
in the project. The aim was achieved: the compiled report consists of almost 100 pages of valuable
information and insights for entrepreneurs. Another project deliverable in progress is Case Study
Workbook for students and teachers of the future JoinMe entrepreneurial training program. Its
finalization, foreseen as a next project step, was another important topic of the meeting`s agenda. The
meeting pushed forward the start of the second project development phase resulting in the design of
the future training program.

During the meeting, the project team were given an opportunity to visit Joist Innovation Park, an
ecosystem that boosts innovation and knowledge transfer in the fields of entrepreneurship, technology,
science, art, and design in the city of Larissa. The introductory visit allowed the JoinMe project and Joist
becoming acquainted with each other and giving thought about future collaborations.

Call for ERASMUS+ international academic mobility on ICT study programme

For master’s and PhD programmes students we offer the call to study on the ICT programme (code 067 according to UNESCO international standard – ISCED) for 4 month of autumn / spring semester of 2022 – 2023 academic year within Erasmus+ academic mobility project at the French Graduate School of Engineering ECAM-EPMI from Cergy. To participate in the competition students should send CV and motivation letter until June 06 of 2022 to the email address: liudmyla.titova@nure.ua (Titova L., International Coordinator).

Selection criteria (in order of preference):

  1. Academic performance of candidates
  2. Knowledge of English
  3. Lack of previous experience of participation in academic mobility projects

Travel costs and costs of stay will be covered by grant programme Erasmus+. Study at ECAM-EPMI is free.

Online Masters Defenсe in Wartime

Despite the challenging conditions of the war with the Russian aggressor, we continue the academic year online. According to the curriculum, the first day of online defence of masters of the Artificial Intelligence Department who studied under the educational and scientific program “Artificial Intelligence Systems” (speciality 122 – Computer Science) took place. AI department’s teachers and students have a good experience presenting their masters’ theses via Google Meet. The defence of master’s theses in video conferencing was successful, without technical failures. The subjects of the submitted works are modern and exciting. To solve the tasks, graduates used modern architectures of deep neural networks, new approaches to developing web-recommender systems, natural language processing and even emotional intelligence. As before, our masters-graduates, continuing the tradition, take on challenging but enjoyable, complex tasks, successfully solve them and prove their high professional level.

On the first day of defence, we were pleased with the high level of submitted papers and excellent results. We wish our graduates new interesting creative tasks, health, success, and to all of us – a speedy victory to our native Ukraine and a peaceful sky!

The First NURE’s Project Of The Horizon2020 Has Launched

The Deep Intelligent Optical and Radio Communication Networks project (MSCA RISE Horizon 2020) has finally launched! The project which was postponed for almost a year due to pandemic restrictions officially started on December 1, 2021. Researchers of the AI Department took part in the Kickoff meeting after signing the Consortium Agreement. We are looking forward four years of innovative intersectoral research in collaboration with the project academic and industrial partners aiming at obtain the AI-enhanced high quality radio signal in particularly to adopt the novel Machine Learning methods for parameter optimization of the large-array transmitters; to investigate generative adversarial network (GAN) for improvement of the simulation channel quality; to implement optimal deep learning algorithms to compensate for transmission impairments along the optical fibre channel.
