Partners gathered to discuss management issues in person, check the status of the project performance and to share first projects results. A.o., the partners presented analytical reports comprising the findings of the desk research done in the previous months. The aim of the research was to identify national practices in Industry 4.0/5.0 and to describe the Industry 4.0/5.0 landscape of the countries represented in the project. The aim was achieved: the compiled report consists of almost 100 pages of valuable information and insights for entrepreneurs. Another project deliverable in progress is Case Study Workbook for students and teachers of the future JoinMe entrepreneurial training program. Its finalization, foreseen as a next project step, was another important topic of the meeting`s agenda. The meeting pushed forward the start of the second project development phase resulting in the design of the future training program.
During the meeting, the project team were given an opportunity to visit Joist Innovation Park, an ecosystem that boosts innovation and knowledge transfer in the fields of entrepreneurship, technology, science, art, and design in the city of Larissa. The introductory visit allowed the JoinMe project and Joist becoming acquainted with each other and giving thought about future collaborations.
For master’s and PhD programmes students we offer the call to study on the ICT programme (code 067 according to UNESCO international standard – ISCED) for 4 month of autumn / spring semester of 2022 – 2023 academic year within Erasmus+ academic mobility project at the French Graduate School of Engineering ECAM-EPMI from Cergy. Despite the challenging conditions of the war with the Russian aggressor, we continue the academic year online. According to the curriculum, the first day of online defence of masters of the Artificial Intelligence Department who studied under the educational and scientific program “Artificial Intelligence Systems” (speciality 122 – Computer Science) took place. AI department’s teachers and students have a good experience presenting their masters’ theses via Google Meet. The defence of master’s theses in video conferencing was successful, without technical failures. The subjects of the submitted works are modern and exciting. To solve the tasks, graduates used modern architectures of deep neural networks, new approaches to developing web-recommender systems, natural language processing and even emotional intelligence. As before, our masters-graduates, continuing the tradition, take on challenging but enjoyable, complex tasks, successfully solve them and prove their high professional level.
On the first day of defence, we were pleased with the high level of submitted papers and excellent results. We wish our graduates new interesting creative tasks, health, success, and to all of us – a speedy victory to our native Ukraine and a peaceful sky!
Since 2018 the Department of Artificial Intelligence has been implementing an academic mobility project forstudents and teachers with the Spanish University of Jaén (Universidad de Jaén). Prof. Sebastian Bruque, Vice-President for Internationalization of the University of Jaén, announced a significant increasing the places for Ukrainian students for the next academic year at the meeting with staff of the AI Department during their visit to a partner university. The corresponding decision is being prepared by the National Erasmus+ Agency of Spain. Due to the military actions of the russian federation against Ukraine, our students already have received four additional places to study at the Spanish university that allowed them to continue their study in a safe environment and remain students of NURE.

The EC Erasmus+ programme has provided additional opportunities to support and protect Ukrainian university staff and students during russia’s war against Ukraine.
In particular, our long-time mobility partner the Spanish University of Jaen has provided additional places for students and faculty. Four students have already received invitations to the current semester.
Such redistribution of the places became possible due to the EC decision to transfer to Ukraine the places that were previously designated for RF and RB. Also, some Georgian universities have voluntarily given up their mobility to Ukrainian colleagues.

The main theses on the implementing the projects in these extremely difficult circumstances: reducing bureaucracy in competition and other procedures in Ukrainian universities, comprehensive promotion of mobility and initiative mobility (if students and academicians find opportunities on their own) to create favorable current conditions to facilitate further return to Ukraine, as well ad visa facilitation by EU countries.
Warning for students: Students who have taken advantage of the Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Programme must return to their home university to continue their studies (obtaining a diploma). In case of non-return, students must return the received mobility grant.
Warning for HEI: The university must repay the mobility grant received by the student in case of non-recognition of ECTS credits obtained by student in a result of credit mobility.

On February 3, 2022, the implementers of the Academic Countering Hybrid Threats – WARN project (#610133-EPP-1-2019-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP) met with students who will soon be choosing a master’s program for further study.
The hot topic sparked a lively discussion of the opportunities the program’s new courses provide. Future AI professionals were interested in the prospect of acquiring the skills to recognize hybrid threats and defend against hybrid influences by means of artificial intelligence.
