24 March 2025
On March 5, 2025, the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv hosted the 2nd International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Systems and Technologies: Results and Prospects” (IST 2025). Following the conference, the program committee selected nine best presentations among 126 scientific papers (across 6 sections). Kristina Silvanovych, a 4th-year student of our department, was awarded a certificate for the best presentation, “Leveraging AI for Agricultural Land Monitoring and Reclamation” (supervisor — Senior Lecturer O. Ye. Hrynova).
The research focuses on developing an intelligent system for analyzing images of damaged land plots and predicting the time and measures needed for their restoration. This will contribute to more efficient land-use planning and the restoration of agricultural resources, helping to advance the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal.
Congratulations on the outstanding presentation of our department’s scientific achievements!
