On September 25, 2026, as part of inter-departmental and interdisciplinary cooperation at NURE, students of the Artificial Intelligence Department visited the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
During the meeting, the students learned about the main areas of work of the BME Department, modern biomedical technologies, and the potential for applying artificial intelligence methods to practical problems in medicine and biomedical engineering.
Particular attention was paid to the interdisciplinary nature of modern research. Combining artificial intelligence, computer vision, and data processing and analysis with biomedical technologies opens broad opportunities for creating new diagnostic systems, analyzing medical images and signals, and developing intelligent hardware and software systems.
The meeting also gave students from different degree programs a chance to share experience, discuss common professional interests, and explore prospects for further cooperation between the departments.
Inter-departmental cooperation allows students to broaden their professional outlook, become familiar with related fields, and see the practical applications of the knowledge gained in their studies.
The event contributes to the achievement of SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 17 “Partnerships for the Goals.”
