Kharkiv Hosts the 30th International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the 21st Century”

Kharkiv has once again become the epicenter of global scientific discussions, hosting the 30th Anniversary International Youth Forum “Radio Electronics and Youth in the 21st Century” from April 22 to 24, 2026. The scientific community gathered at the Faculty of Computer Science at NURE, focusing on the cutting-edge developments of Conference 6: “Information Intelligent Systems.” The highest resonance was generated by the materials of Section 6.1, dedicated to modern problems of computational and artificial intelligence, where young researchers demonstrated how high technologies can address the critical challenges of wartime and global digital transformation.

Shift Toward Explainable and Reliable AI

An analysis of the presented works indicates a fundamental shift in priorities: young scientists are moving away from purely theoretical models toward creating reliable and “Explainable” Artificial Intelligence (XAI). A significant portion of the research is aimed at overcoming the “hallucination” problem of large language models through hybrid approaches. These combine the flexibility of neural networks with the precision of knowledge graphs and ontologies. This enables the creation of systems capable of not just generating text, but justifying their decisions—a vital capability for implementing AI in medicine, clinical trial analysis, and the personalization of complex educational curricula.

Cybersecurity and Defense in the Digital Age

In the face of modern threats, cybersecurity and data protection have gained particular relevance. Students presented:

  • Methods for countering Prompt Injection attacks.

  • Algorithms for detecting AI-generated voices to prevent fraud.

  • “Zero Trust” architectures for protecting autonomous AI agents.

  • Deep learning methods for IoT security and detecting hidden malicious instructions in media files.

Adaptability and Applied Solutions for Ukraine

The section’s papers demonstrate the extraordinary adaptability of young scientists to the conditions of martial law in Ukraine. Several developments hold exceptional practical value, including:

  • Intelligent management of driver work regimes during curfews.

  • QA systems for learning during blackouts.

  • The construction of “resilient” service platforms for the Kharkiv region.

Furthermore, AI is becoming a tool for ecological and economic revival. The use of Geo-Graph Intelligence methods to monitor the state of agricultural resources post-combat and predict their reclamation paves the way for restoring the fertility of Ukrainian lands.

Conclusion

The anniversary forum confirmed that the Artificial Intelligence Department at NURE remains a powerful hub for training specialists whose developments not only meet international standards but also work directly toward the sustainable development and security of our state. The presented intelligent systems—ranging from crop diagnostics to risk analysis in retail—form a solid foundation for Ukraine’s digital future.
